Agilent 6495B Triple Quad LC/MS with 1260 Infinity II HPLC Overview
This Agilent 6495B Triple Quad LC/MS with 1260 Infinity II HPLC is a complete ultra-sensitive LC/MS/MS system for trace-level quantitation. The 6495B uses Agilent iFunnel technology, which combines a hexabore capillary, a dual-stage ion funnel, and the Jet Stream source to capture many more ions than a conventional triple quadrupole. Agilent reports up to a ten-fold signal improvement over non-iFunnel instruments, with high precision at sub-millisecond dwell times.
The 1260 Infinity II HPLC delivers the chromatography the mass spectrometer needs. Its flexible pump handles pressures up to 800 bar, so the system runs standard HPLC and UHPLC columns, and its multisampler holds up to 6144 samples in microtiter plates. A thermostatted column compartment and a diode array detector complete the front end, which gives analysts UV data alongside the MS/MS results. MassHunter software controls the LC and MS together from one PC.
