Description

Agilent 6890N GC/MS with 5975C MSD, 7683 Autosampler & G1888 Headspace Sampler Overview

The Agilent 6890N GC/MS with 5975C MSD, 7683 Autosampler and G1888 Headspace Sampler is a GC/MS system for volatile compounds in solids and liquids that you would rather not inject directly. The G1888 heats each vial, lets the vapor above the sample reach equilibrium and transfers only that vapor to the column, so salts, polymers and other non-volatile matrix never reach the inlet. The 5975C mass selective detector records electron-ionization spectra that can be searched against standard libraries, so unknowns can be identified as well as quantified.

The G1888 on the Agilent 6890N GC/MS with 5975C MSD, 7683 Autosampler and G1888 Headspace Sampler holds a large tray of vials and heats several at once, so a sequence can run overnight. Multiple headspace extraction is available for quantitation in solid samples, and the 7683 autosampler is there when a method calls for direct liquid injection instead.

Environmental laboratories use the system for volatile organic compounds in water, soil and air, pharmaceutical laboratories for residual solvents, and food and beverage and forensic laboratories for flavor, aroma and volatile compound identification.

This Agilent GC/MS System is offered fully refurbished and tested, in working condition, by Alliant Scientific.
