Agilent 7890B GC with 7693 Autosampler Overview
The Agilent 7890B GC with 7693 Autosampler combines a 7890B gas chromatograph, a split/splitless (SSL) inlet and a flame ionization detector (FID) with an automatic liquid sampler. The 7693 tower and 150-vial tray load samples into three removable racks, so a long sequence can run overnight without anyone at the instrument. Fast injections complete in under 100 ms, and the plunger speed is programmable for viscous or volatile samples. The oven and EPC pneumatics hold retention times steady from the first vial to the last.
The injection side of this Agilent 7890B GC with 7693 Autosampler is where it earns its place in routine work. The tower accepts syringes from 1 to 100 µL and injects 1 to 50% of the syringe volume in 1% steps. Pre- and post-injection solvent rinses and sample pumps cut carryover, and a solvent-saver mode stretches the wash solvent supply. The FID covers hydrocarbons and most organic compounds across a wide linear range, which makes this a dependable base for repeat quantitative methods.
