Agilent 8890 GC FID 7693 Tower Overview
The Agilent 8890 GC FID 7693 Tower system pairs an 8890 gas chromatograph, configured with a split/splitless (SSL) inlet and a flame ionization detector (FID), with a 7693 Series G4513A injector tower. The 8890 adds a 7-inch touchscreen, LAN connectivity and tighter electronic pneumatics control than the 7890 generation it replaces. The FID reaches below 1.0 pg C/s, and its data rate of up to 1,000 Hz is fast enough to define very narrow peaks. The oven runs to 450 °C with up to 32 ramps, so complex temperature programs are handled in one method.
The G4513A tower moves injections off the bench and into the sequence, which gives repeatable volumes and unattended operation once a tray is added. This Agilent 8890 GC FID 7693 Tower configuration is sold tower-only, so you can choose a tray to match your throughput. The Agilent 7693 G4513A tower and G4514A tray are available separately. The 8890 interface also supports a second 7693A injector, so the system can grow with your methods.
