The Agilent 5975C VL MSD (G3170A) is a reliable single quadrupole GC/MS detector built for the identification and quantification of volatile and semi-volatile compounds in complex matrices. The Triple-Axis Detector (TAD) design improves signal-to-noise ratio for trace-level detection, while the diffusion pump provides stable, robust vacuum performance for consistent day-to-day operation.
This detector integrates with GC systems including the Agilent 6890N, 7890A, and 7890B, and supports a wide range of sample introduction methods — manual injection, autosamplers like the 7683 or 7693, purge and trap systems, and headspace samplers. That flexibility makes it well suited for routine and regulatory testing across environmental, food, pharmaceutical, and forensic applications, including VOC analysis under EPA Method 502.2 and EPA Method 524.3.
