Waters Acquity FLR Detector Overview
The Waters ACQUITY UPLC FLR Detector (186015029) is a multi-channel, multi-wavelength fluorescence detector designed for UltraPerformance LC. It covers excitation wavelengths from 200 to 890 nm and emission wavelengths from 210 to 900 nm, with a 20 nm bandwidth.
The detector uses an axially illuminated, fused-quartz flow cell with a volume under 2 µL. The low-volume design avoids band spreading and maximizes light throughput, and low-noise electronics give a sensitivity of S/N above 1000 on the Raman spectrum of water. Measurement range is 0.001 to 10,000 EU, and data rates reach 80 Hz.
Method development is faster with 2D, 3D, and on-the-fly spectral scanning, which locate wavelength maxima without separate runs. Wavelength accuracy is ±3 nm and repeatability is ±0.25 nm. Leak sensors and full diagnostics captured through the console software support unattended operation.
The detector suits fluorescence applications such as polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), aflatoxins, vitamins, drugs of abuse, and pharmaceuticals.
