This configuration pairs the standard 7890/5975C GC/MS platform with Agilent’s 7693 autosampler, the higher-throughput option compared to the older 7683 series. The 7693 (G4513A tower, G4514A tray) offers faster injection cycle times and greater vial capacity, making it a better fit for labs running larger batch sizes or unattended overnight sequences.
The GC/MS core remains built around the 5975C VL MSD (G3170A) with a Triple-Axis Detector for improved signal-to-noise, and a diffusion pump vacuum system for stable long-term operation. Agilent’s 5th-generation Electronic Pneumatics Control holds pressure setpoints to 0.001 psi, supporting reliable retention time locking across systems and methods.
The split/splitless (SSL) inlet’s Turn-Top design allows liner replacement in under 30 seconds without tools, keeping routine maintenance quick between sample runs.
