This autosampler is designed to work in conjunction with Markes UNITY thermal desorption systems, adding fully automated multi-tube capability to what would otherwise be single-tube analysis. With the ability to manage up to 100 sample tubes in a single sequence, it allows extended unattended operation, making it ideal for overnight runs or high-throughput laboratories.
Samples are loaded into organized trays and transferred using a precision-controlled mechanical system that positions each tube into the desorption oven with minimal movement, reducing wear and ensuring consistent sample handling. Once desorption occurs, analytes are transferred through a heated inert pathway to the analytical system, helping preserve compound integrity during analysis. Â To maintain data quality, the system uses specialized sealing caps that limit diffusion and prevent contamination or loss of volatile compounds both before and after analysis. These caps allow gas flow when needed, without requiring removal, simplifying automation while maintaining sample integrity.
