The CDS 9300 supports thermal desorption workflows commonly used in environmental laboratories performing EPA‑aligned VOC and SVOC analyses.

  • EPA Method 524 (VOC in drinking water)
  • EPA Method 624 (VOC in wastewater)
  • EPA Method 8260 (VOC/SVOC by GC/MS)

Description

The CDS 9300 Thermal Desorption system is the base model for single tube desorption. It features a hand-held controller for system maintenance and direct communication. With the highest programmable valve temperature on the market (350°C),  the 9300 can venture into applications where other systems can not perform, including VOCs, sVOCs, polar and nonpolar compounds. The two stage trapping and desorption process with Pre-desorb and Pre-heat feature eliminate the need of any Peltier cooling or liquid cryogen to improve the resolution for early eluting molecules.

Available from Alliant Scientific, an authorized CDS Analytical distributor, supplying the CDS Analytical 9300 Thermal Desorption Concentrator with full support for system configuration, installation.

Flexible, Programmable Purge & Trap Control

The 9300 offers fully programmable timing from 0 to 999.9 minutes, allowing precise control over purge, dry purge, desorb, and bake cycles. This flexibility supports a wide range of sample matrices and method requirements.

High‑Temperature Desorption & Heated Pathway

The system features:

  • Sample desorb temperature up to 400°C
  • Focus desorb temperature up to 400°C
  • Valve oven up to 350°C
  • Heated transfer line up to 350°C

These high‑temperature capabilities ensure complete analyte recovery and minimize carryover.

Standard Vocarb Trap with Optional Tenax‑TA

The 9300 includes a standard 1/8" Vocarb trap, with optional 6 mm Tenax‑TA for expanded application flexibility.

No Cryogen Required

The system operates without cryogenic cooling, using standard pre‑desorb technology to maintain performance while reducing operating costs and complexity.

Compact & Efficient

Weighing only 17 kg, the 9300 is designed for laboratories needing a powerful concentrator in a compact footprint.
