Description

The CDS 7550S is a stand-alone 72 position Thermal Desorption Autosampler for Thermal Desorption – Gas Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (TD-GC-MS) in the analytical lab. Built on the 2nd generation autosampler platform, the CDS 7550S is capable of 3D positioning within 1 mm, and thanks to its unique custom calibration, it could handle 3.5″ standard Thermal Desorption tube from any manufacturer. These features make CDS 7550 the most reliable Thermal Desorption autosampler available to the market. The 7550S adopts two focus modes as Pre-desorb\Pre-heat function for high humidity sample, and optional Peltier module for lighter compounds, to improve the resolution of early eluting peaks.

High‑Throughput Thermal Desorption

The 7550S accommodates up to 72 TD tubes, supporting both 1/4" × 3.5" and 6 mm × 4.5" formats. This makes it ideal for laboratories processing large sample loads or requiring continuous unattended operation.

Integrated Concentrator & Low‑Mass Trap

A built‑in concentrator paired with a low‑thermal‑mass Vocarb trap ensures efficient analyte focusing, improved sensitivity, and rapid desorption cycles.

Fast Heating Rates for Efficient Analysis

With tube heating rates up to 1000°C/min and trap heating up to 900°C/min, the 7550S minimizes cycle times while maintaining excellent reproducibility.

Flexible Temperature Control

The system supports:

  • Pre‑desorb pre‑heat (standard)
  • Optional Peltier cooling to –20°C
  • Valve oven temperatures up to 300°C
  • Transfer line temperatures up to 350°C
  • Sample and focus desorb temperatures up to 400°C
