Mettler Toledo P-56RUE Printer Overview
The Mettler Toledo P-56RUE is a direct thermal printer designed as a plug-and-play documentation partner for Mettler Toledo laboratory instruments, communicating via the MT-SICS (Mettler Toledo Standard Interface Command Set) protocol. It is compatible with a wide range of balance lines, including Excellence (XPR, XPE, XP, XS, XSE, XA), Advanced (MS, ML, ML-T, PHS, JP, JS), Standard (ME, ME-T, LE, JE, TLE), and legacy models.
The printer achieves speeds up to 101.6 mm/s at 203 dpi (8 dots/mm) resolution, with a printable width of 54 mm. A built-in real-time clock timestamps printed records, and seven resident Windows bitmap fonts are available for output formatting. Printouts on phenol-free thermal paper are rated for up to 25 years of durability, while self-adhesive label printouts last up to 10 years. The print unit itself is rated for 1.5 million lines of durability.
This model does not generate barcodes or support statistics, totaling, or formulation applications — those features are available on the higher P-58RUE model.
