Agilent G2855-61500 Dean’s Switch with EPC & Solenoid Valve Overview
The Agilent G2855-61500 is an inert Dean’s Switch manifold assembly used for heart-cutting and column-switching applications on any gas chromatography system, paired here with an Electronic Pneumatics Control (EPC) module and Solenoid Valve for a complete, ready-to-install switching setup. Agilent has discontinued this part number, making a tested, working unit increasingly difficult to source new — this refurbished assembly has been fully tested and verified in working condition by Alliant Scientific.
The Dean’s Switch allows a portion of the GC effluent stream to be diverted to a second column or detector without interrupting the primary analysis, commonly used to isolate interfering compounds, route specific fractions for secondary analysis, or extend column life by diverting unwanted matrix components away from the analytical column. The inert manifold design minimizes analyte adsorption and carryover, preserving sensitivity for trace-level and reactive compound analysis.
