Agilent 6430 Triple Quad LC/MS Overview
The Agilent 6430 is engineered for precise quantification of narrow UHPLC peaks, with rapid MS cycle times as short as 100 milliseconds — ensuring reliable peak integration with at least ten data points even for peaks lasting just one second. That speed makes it well suited for complex multi-analyte assays that demand short dwell times.
Compared to the entry-level 6420, the 6430 adds an additional turbo pump, improves pumping in vacuum stage 2, and updates the collision cell lenses for better performance — a meaningful step up without moving into Agilent Jet Stream territory, which starts at the 6460.
With sensitivity down to 1pg of reserpine at a 300:1 signal-to-noise ratio and mass resolution of 0.5 Da (manual tune) / 0.7 Da (autotune), the 6430 is well suited for food testing, water analysis, and protein biomarker discovery and validation.
